Act IV of Shakespeare The Tragedy of Macbeth
Act four start's with the three withches. They feel as if something is about to happen so they start chatting spells and stuff to call on their God Hecate. He lets them know that Mcbeth is on his way to see them. What the Sprit or God tells them is true Macbeth shows up and wants to know his future! Hecate say's " Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Beware Macduff! Beware the Thane of Fife. Dimiss me: enough. At this point Macbeth thinks that everything is turing for the good but little do he know, and then Hecate say's " Be bloddy, bold and resolute! Laugh to scorn The pow'r of man, for none of woman born Shall harm Macbeth." When the spirit tells him this he act as if he's sitting on a high horse and can't get knocked down. So on and on the spirit say's alot of things to him and it makes him feel untouchable! Then he still gets told the part about how there would be kings after him no matter what. He even says it to his self. " Thou art too like the spirit of Banquo. Down! Thy crown does sear mine eyelida. And thy hair, Thou other gold-bound brow, is like the first. A third is like the former. Filthy hags! why do you show me this? A fourth! Sart, eyes! what, will the line strecth out to th' crack of doom? Another yet! A seventh! I'll see no more. And yet the eight appears, who bears a glass which shows me many more. etc" Then he say's "Horrible sight! Now I see' tis true; For the blood-boltered Banquo smiles upon me, And points at them for his. What, is this so?". By this time Macbeth is like but you just told me that i will be alright. The only thing that witches had to say is First Witch " Ay, sir , all this is so. But why Stands Macbeth thus amazedly? Come, sisters, cheer we up his sprites, And show the best of our delights: I'll charm the air to give a sound , while you perform your antic round, That this great king may kindly say Our duties did his welcome pay". His welcome payed alright. This sent Macbeth on another dummy mission, he decided to be stupid again by saying to his self again " The castle of Macduff I will surprise Seize upon Fife; give to th' sword His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls That deed I'll do before this purpose cool: But no more sights!- Where are these gentlemen? Come, bring me where they are." O my i was like he's went mad, naw he just got the big head thinking that if kills off Macduffs family everything will be all good for him. Now i'm on lady Macduff she thinks her husband is a coward because he ran off, only if she knew. She tells her child " Sirrah, your fathers dead: And what will you do now? How will you live?" She's talking to her son and telling him that his father is dead, but he really isn't. In the scene with lady Macduff and her son; lady Macduff makes a good point she say's "Every one that does so is a traitor, and must be hanged." Then the son says "Then the liars and swearers are fools; for there are liars and swearers enow to beat the honest men and hang up them." Lady Macduff really hit some good points in her scene. Like how the people that do good always get treated bad. In this play that is sooo true! So what Macbeth has done , is decided to contact the Murderer again to do his dirty deed the Murderer kills Macduffs family so the deed was done! Ross tells Macduff that " your wife and babes savagely slaughtered" and he adds and say"To add the death of you". Macduff is angry about this. I mean who wouldnt be??? Malcolm comes out and say to Ross and Macduff " Be comfororted. Let's make us med' cines of our great revenge, To cure this deadly grief. With out a doubt no one has a problem with going to get revenge on Macbeth; so Malcolm say's " This time goes manly. Come, go we to the king. Our power is ready Our lack is nothing but our leave. Macbeth is ripe for shaking , and the pow'rs above Put on their instruments. Receive what cheer you may. The night is long that never finds the day". When Malcolm said this I alredy knew that they wanted revenge on Macbeth, and wasn't nothing stoping them!

Act III of Shakespeare The Tragedy of Macbeth

Act III is where Macbeth really go dumb with all the crap he's putting his self into. He's really king, having dinners and all, but before this dinner him and his friend Banquo chat a little. Macbeths head is so cloudy that while Banqou is thinking that he's having a friendly conversation with a friend, little do he know that he's only digging his own grave, sad, sad! But he let's Macbeth know that he's going to be riding threw the woods before he comes to the dinner party ( where Macbeth act's like a Donkey ha-ha), because of Banquo. Before i get into that Macbeth uses the fact that he knows Banquo is going to be in the woods to make up a murder plan and he decides to hire some murderers. The murderers really have no reason to do this to this man (Banquo). I guess Macbeths wife came out of him because he tried to put negative things in their heads. Macbeth say's to the two murderers "know Banquo was your enemy." By Macbeth or should i say king Macbeth ?ha-ha, trying to act like his wife they still agree to do this evil deed.Act II of Shakespeare The Tragedy of Macbeth

This story is sooo wonderful! like in my first post i did say i liked it and it's really getting better. I didn't know that i would be so aracted to this story, but to find out that I am. In Act II things start getting heavy. Macbeth is going crazy half way loosing his mind over non sence! The reason i say this , is because Macbeth is having ilusions bout killling the king already before he even touched the man. This issue had the class like is he drunk also???
In Act II Macbeth is in a daze. "The handle toward my hand? Come let me clutch thee. Ihave thee not, and yet I see thee still Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible" What he is saying here is that he knows that he has nothing in his hands but why does his vision show that there's a knife there??? . I felt the reason he felt this way is because, by the witches tellling him his fate; it can't stop playing over in over in his head and that's why he's living out his future because he can't control his mind. If he had mind control he would be just fine!
Macbeth ends up killing the king. Of cousre he cries about it, his wife shuts him down with it'll be ok. Instead of her having hearth she shuts him down with "A foolish thought, to say a sorry sight". She'e sitting here dogging him out over some crap she should have done, if it was supposed to be so easy for him to just walk away from the crime like he just didn't kill a man. I really think she is so cold hearted, at times.
Macduff is the one who finds the king in the state that he was in (dead). Macbeth and Lady Macbeth plays as if they didnt know nothing about the death; but i'm pretty sure that Macduff felt something strange! The kings sons Malcolm & Donalbain jet because they know what the deal is! meaning by their father being killed everyone would point the finger at them and then murder them. The reasonn this would happen to them is because the town may think that they did it to become king. So they both jet to England & Irland. I thought this part was real sad, so by them leaving, the crown was handed to Macbeth. Banquo wanted to talk to Macbeth about what the weird sisters had said to them. Macbeths head is so gone that he lies to Banquo and say that he dosent think about the stuff anymore witch is so far from the truth. So by Macbeth ignoring a conversation that could have made this situation better is causing him alot of down falls.

Act 1 of Shakespeare The Tragedy of Macbeth

Act I- (all) " Fair is foul, and foul is fair. Hover through the fog and filthy air."( witches 1,2,3). That part right there set off the whole story!!! what the witches are saying is that everything that seems good is bad, and everything that is bad is good; and through the whole story this little saying that they have chanted up never leaves your mind! So by you having this thought and mind set you know that what always shines isn't a diamond.
The three witches came to Macbeth and told him his future, I mean weird stuff was already happening to him even before he run's into them. So to make it even weird they came out of nowhere saying (1st witch) " All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis!" (2nd witch) All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!' (3rd witch)" All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!" After all this crap goes down everything start making you double check every next move that Macbeth makes!
Macbeth is bewaldered by this and can't believe what he's heard! He has a friend with him while walking trough the woods; his name is Banquo. Banquo get's his future told to him also. (3rd witch) "Hail", (2nd witch) " Not so happy," yet much happier., (3rd witch) " Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none. So all hail, Macbeth and Banquo!", (1st witch) "Banquo and Macbeth, all hail!" . After this both of them are shocked, but it hits Macbeth harder then it get's to Banquo, but to be honest i have to keep my eye on him too!, because i have suspendtion about him!!!
Then Macbeth meets the king. O wow so much stuff falls in Macbeth's way with a simple stupid conversation with the king! Ok since everyone is telling Macbeth that he's going to be King but this conversation with the King just turned him to a greedy mind thinker. What i mean by this is like now he's thinking that he has to kill the Kings son Malcom to get the throne! Now why did he even get the big head on this road to his death??? When Macbeth finds out that the Kings son is going to get the throne when he dies Macbeth says to himself '' The Prince of Cumberlan! That is a step On which I must fall down, or else o'erleap, For in my way it lies. Stars, hide your fires; Let not light see my black and deep desires: The eye wink at hand; yet let that be Which the eye fears, when it is done, to see." Now by him saying this i know he is thinking about commiting a muder to get where he wants to be. Speaking of where he want's to be his wife Lady Macbeth!!! mannn that lady is a mess I thought she was so inosent ha-ha not! Macbeth sends her a letter telling her of all the good ( well the bad) that has come to him! Next thing you know we're reading about her thinking about what Macbeth only say's to himself. I mean Lady Macbeth is making her self take in negative things, like sprit or demon type things to boost herself up to kill the King when he comes to visit there home! She has everything down packed about the whole situation. Then Macbeth never told her yes or no until his good side comes out, but Lady Macbeth wasn't even trying to hear that! There should have been a fourth witch because she acts like one ha-ha !
Her plan was to make everything look good ('fair is foul, and foul is fair") that saying makes your mind think about everything that goes down in this Act. So when Macbeth wanted to let the killing plan go , Lady Macbeth really showed the evil sprit side she called up! She told him " Screw your courage."!!! what in the world??? he let her make him look like a punk , but at the same time when you want to be in the lime light you'll do anything to get there like Lady Macbeth , who's making a donkey of her self , but Macbeth is going to join the stupid train with the looney!!! she may be some kin to King Henry VIII & Bloody Mary too! they have problems! I feel like i have giving enough information on Act I , i'm really starting to like this play because it's mind catching; because i know it has caught my mind! With all this drama who wouldn't like this?

The Renaissance
The Renaissance post was crazy! what stuck out the most to me is the stuff about King Henry VIII killing off his wives because they all had little girls! That was insane! It seem like he was ready to die or something!!! I mean things happen for a reason. And I wonder if he would have just waited until his first wife had a little boy... but the events happend, but things got better for them either or, oh yeah one of his wives made it thank God! ha-ha! I also thought that it was cool that your family is some kin to apart of history! sometimes i wonder if i ever had royalty in my family but enough about me...
Bloody Mary is also insane daughter like father! by her wanting to kill off all the protestants that she could get her hands on. She would excute them or burned them alive, that was just crazy! She died and her sis came and made things right! She made everything right by restoring the church. At this time Elizabeth was queen! She loved art; people also believed that she wrote alot of stuff for Shakespeare's plays. I mean if this is so, atleast he let a WOMAN put her two cents in.
Over it all i think that this whole era was kind of crazy and disfunctional, because so much crap went down, rumors and truths it's mind blowing!

The Middle Ages!
The Martyrdom of Thomas a Becket- In this time all the Christians belonged to one church, wow!; and this church was the church of Rome. Henry was the head of the church and the representative of God, he must have been praised by his people some what like God??? And when his knight murdered his friend that showed me that, he had the upper hand when he wasn’t even serious. That was crazy! The Monk really wowed me!, because I always thought Monks are, and were all about nature and life; but he was living with another mind set.
Magna Carta- Was about a king changing certain rights. I had to go get more info on the Magna Carta. Now I understand that it was based on laws and different rights that citizens wanted.
The Hundred Years War- England against France, and it was fought on the continent. This war lasted for 116yrs. I can’t believe that they have had a war that long. I hope the war that we are in now don’t last that long. During the war they used this weapon called the yard-long arrows, that actually ignored the armor the Knights had on, meaning they still got hurt even if they had on armor.
The Black Death- I know a little about the Black Death, from what I know the rats had fleas and the fleas where biting people and making them sick; but by reading the passage I found out that this plague reduced the nations population by a third. I didn’t know that.
Caterbury Tales
The Knight- was a very strong , smart, sweet person. He didn’t start or never started anything negative with anyone, but he would finish it. Even if he was strong and good at war he was still a gentleman. *“ Though so strong and brave, he was very wise and of temper as meekly as a maid.” If he’s talking about a cleaning maid they have good patience, and I feel he dose too!
The Squire- was young age 20. He had nice hair. He was active, he had good strength. The Squire wanted to be with this lady so bad; that she has him, getting well dressed, singing songs&, dancing. *“He was as fresh as is the month of May. Short was his gown, with sleeves both long and wide“. I see it as if not only was his hair, and face together for the girl, his sprit and mind was too! I think he may be in love.
The Yeoman- sounds like a hunter or maybe a super hero. *“ he bore a horn, the baldric all of green; a forester he truly was, I guess”. Then it seems like he’s making fun of the Yeoman when he say’s he *“guess” ( ha-ha) I mean he really sounds like he’s a hunter or he maybe ready for war.
The Prioress- was a Nun, her real name is Madam Eglantine, she could sing, she had good manners. *“At the table her manners were well taught withal, and never let morsels from her lips fall, nor dipped her fingers deep in sauce” ex… Her moral sense got the best of her. She really cares about animals. Then he seems like he’s roasting again because he starts talking about her forehead (ha-ha).
The Monk- enjoyed hunting ; I was like what??? The reason why I am so amazed is because, Monks to ma are men who worship nature, and wanted to keep peace. He’s sitting here killing animals and things. What’s peaceful about that? I also thought Monks just wore this dress looking thing and had ball heads but no this Monk had on fancy stuff. * “ I saw his sleeves were made with fur at the hand with fine grey fur, the finest in the land”.
The Friar- Hubert the friar is some what like a lord or like a pope. * “ But he was like a lord or like a pope”. but before I got to the end of this tale I felt like he had that whole definition about him the reason I say this is because “ for his power of confession met no equality” I seen this as that he had people actually coming up to him confessing.
The Merchant- I don’t know his story teller can’t recall it (ha-ha). But what I do know is that if this man didn’t do anything else right he knew how to boast about what he’s done! *“ stressing the times when he had won, not lost”.
The Clerk- wanted to become a teacher. He didn’t have much money he barrowed money to attend school that his friends would lend him. “ and then he’d pray diligently for the souls of those who gave him resources to attend school. *”and then he’d pray diligently for the souls of those who gave him resources to attend schools”.
The Franklin- I really didn’t get what he was trying to get at with this tale, but I picked up that the man was wealthy and old. *“white was his beard as is the white daisy”. my proof of him being wealthy. *“ his house was never short of food and drink”. He liked wine a lot! * “ loved to dip his morning bread in wine”.
The Physician- He was a doctor and a very good one.* “ a doctor of medicine in all this world there was none like him” He cared about people and saved a lot of people too! But I picked up that he liked to have money well gold. * “ since gold in physic is a cordial, therefore he loved his gold exceeding all”.
The Wife of Bath- the story teller really have a lot of jokes, he just keep roasting this poor woman on the side. When he was talking about her hair weave, I found it funny because I wear weave and it is heavy but he said * “ her head-dresses were of finest weave and ground, I dare swear that they weighed about ten pound which, on a Sunday, she wore on her head” and then he was talking about her gap I found this tale to be very funny!
The Parson- was a holy man. He didn’t have much money , well he was poor, but it didn’t matter because he was rich in sprit. * “ he was a country parson, but rich he was in holy thought and work.” I’m thinking maybe he was a preacher or something. * “ in sickness, or in sin, or any state, to visit the farthest, regardless their financial state”.
The Miller- was a very strong man. * “ he lifted each door from its hinges, that easy or break it though, by running, with his head”. That’s the only thing I’ve picked up from this tale.
The Reeve- was a tall guy. He would look after stuff for his lord and do a very good job at it. * “ he knew well how to please his lord subtly, by giving him, or lending, of his own goods”. He had a very good horse name Scot.
The Pardoner- this man could sing he had a very nice voice, * “ added a strong bass to his song; No horn ever sounded half so strong” but when he talked ( ha-ha) the story teller said he sounded like a goat (ha-ha) * “ a voice he had that sounded like a goat” His voice was so good that people would pay him to sing also. * “ to gain some silver, preferably from the crowd; therefore he sang so merrily and so loud”.
The Wife of Bath’s Tale
I decided to read The Wife Of Bath’s Tale. The Wife of Bath thinks she knows a lot about relations you know like between women and men. At the beginning she tells how she has experience, so she is qualified to tell him the facts on women and out true desire’s. She’s the one that ends up giving him the answer.
The reason this Knight seeks for this answer is because, he did a crime, so the queen punished him and said that she would not kill him, if he finds out what women wanted. And if he fail to answer her right he would die! He came back from his quest with the answer he said “ A woman wants the self same-same sovereignty Over her husband as over her husband as over her lover And master him; he must not be above her. That is your greatest wish, whether you kill Or spare me; please yourself, I wait your will.”
And when the Knight said this I was like he Is so right! And then the other women that heard him did not think twice about what he said and I didn’t either!, but I kind of think he should still be punished! But hey it’s just a story. I really liked this story. I wished they would have a made one asking what men really wanted ha-ha.
The Lit I’ve read relates to the middle ages in like the time setting is the only thing that has me saying it’s middle age related, but the fact that the king gave the punishment decision to the queen is kind of mind wrecking I didn’t know that he would have gave her that power to decide his fate, but he did. “ but that the queen, and other ladies too, implored the king to exercise his grace so ceaselessly, he gave the queen the case And granted her his life, and she could choose Whether to show him mercy or refuse”
I was like what the king is letting the queen decide??? But like I said over all the whole story is wonderful!
